Budget Accommodation Football Euro Munich

The UEFA Euro 2024 will begin in Munich on the 14th of June with the Germany vs Scotland group stage match and will finish with the final in Berlin on the 14th July. There are six matches to be played in Munich’s Allianz Arena, including one semi-final.

With the 2024 Euros coming to Munich, football fans from around Europe and the world are looking for somewhere to stay to either watch the matches in Allianz Arena, or in the Fan Zone at Olympiapark. Problem is, Munich is a notoriously expensive city for accommodation, so we decided to set up an accommodation option that won’t send you broke, saving you precious euros to spend on the famous Bavarian food, and especially beer.

UEFA Euro Munich camping

Camping for the Euro Cup in Munich has to be your best budget accommodation option. Munich Central Camping is not only located in a beautiful and natural area on the Isar River, but is conveniently close to the metro, with access to Allianz Arena, the Munich UEFA Euro fan zone at Olympiapark, and the attractions of central Munich including Marianplatz. The campsite is also located alongside the city zoo, if you’re travelling with kids (or you want a break from the football). And if you don’t want to travel all the way to Munich with your camping equipment the team at Munich Central Camping have already set up your tents and put sleeping mats and sleeping bags inside, or you can choose the dorm room option.

Accommodation in Munich for fans of Germany vs Scotland

Germany vs Scotland, June 14th. Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany.

The Euros will kick off in Munich with the home country taking on the Scots, with Germany the ¼ favourites (meaning if you put down €1 you’ll win €1.25 – hardly worth a punt on). That doesn’t mean that an upset can’t happen. There are expected to be many German fans making their way by train and plane to Munich for the match and it will be difficult to find accommodation in Munich on June 14th. Luckily for you there’s plenty of space at Munich Central Camping.

Scottish fans in Munich for Euros 2024

If you’re a Scottish fan coming to Munich for the Germany vs Scotland match you’ll find someone fun and friendly to stay at Munich Central Camping. Even if you don’t have tickets to the Allianz Arena you can come with the crew at the campsite to one of the nearby fan zones, or just park up with a delicious German beer in the campsite bar.

Accommodation in Munich for fans of Denmark vs Serbia

Denmark vs Serbia, June 25th. Allianz Arena, Munich Germany.

How to get to Allianz Arena from Munich Central Camping

It’s very easy to get to Allianz Arena from Munich Central Camping. To take public transport it’s a short walk to the Thalkirchen (Tierpark) U-Bahn metro station. From there you take the U3 in the direction of Moosach for three stops, and then change at Poccistraße to the U6 line, getting off alongside Allianz Arena at Fröttmaning. What to do in Munich when not watching the Euros

The number one thing to do in Munich when not watching the UEFA Euro is to explore the city and make sure you’re spending time in the famous beer halls. Munich’s beer halls are legendary (they’re very similar to the Oktoberfest experience but open all year round) and you’ll find Bavarian beers, food to accompany them including pork knuckle and sauerkraut and a variety of sausages (wurst) as well as oompah bands, traditional outfits, and even draught horses pulling barrels of beer around.
